Welcome to Kalani at Haiku Garden Cottages Farm Sanctuary

Nestled on Maui’s lush North Shore, Haiku Garden Cottages is a licensed Farmstay and Bed & Breakfast (Permit #BBPH2017/0002).

Kalani is a spacious, thoughtfully designed cottage where comfort meets farm life, offering guests a chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, and savor the rhythms of island living. Sitting on a private acre of land, the cottage provides plenty of space to wander, relax, and feel fully immersed in the farm.

Step from the open-concept kitchen and living area through 8-foot sliding glass doors onto a 40-foot deck, where the private lawn, lilikoi trellis, citrus trees, and distant ocean views create a serene farm-to-sea backdrop. The deck includes a private outdoor shower and an outdoor dining table with seating for four — perfect for meals surrounded by the sights and sounds of the farm. Inside, the fully equipped kitchen features a ceramic cooktop, convection oven, and all the essentials for cooking, while the indoor dining table comfortably seats four.

Kalani’s interiors are designed for comfort and ease. Enjoy soft cotton linens,  memory foam mattresses, hardwood floors, and ceiling fans in every room. The bathroom features elegant subway tile, a shower and tub, and plenty of soft cotton towels. A large interior closet includes a washer and dryer for guest use, and the cottage is stocked with beach towels, umbrellas, coolers, guidebooks, and plenty of aloha. For entertainment, Kalani offers fast Wi-Fi, ROKU streaming TV, and a Bluetooth speaker for music.

The cottage is immersed in the farm, surrounded by tropical foliage and a bounty of seasonal fruits. Guests are welcome to roam the property and harvest from our lychee, avocado, banana, passionfruit, mango, starfruit, orange, and guava trees, as well as enjoy fresh flowers in season — a true taste of island life.

Located in the quiet town of Haʻikū on Maui’s North Shore, Kalani is a short drive from beaches, hikes, parks, restaurants, and shopping. We recommend renting a car, as rideshares and public transportation are limited.

Haʻikū enjoys a comfortable year-round climate. While the cottage does not have a heater or air conditioning — rarely needed in this part of the island — ceiling fans and cross-ventilating windows keep the space airy. For cooler nights, extra blankets are provided so you can stay cozy while listening to the wind move through the trees.
