Tucked away on Maui’s vibrant North Shore, Haiku Garden Cottages is a licensed Farmstay and Bed & Breakfast (Permit #BBPH2017/0002).
Malie is a spacious, thoughtfully appointed cottage designed to make your stay as comfortable and restorative as possible, blending farm life with Hawaiian living.
Inside, the open-concept kitchen and living area features two sets of 8-foot sliding glass doors that open onto a 200 sq ft screened-in porch, overlooking gentle green pastures that stretch down to the distant ocean. The porch captures the true essence of Hawaiian living and is complemented by an additional private deck and outdoor shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with a ceramic cooktop and convection oven, while the dining table comfortably seats four. A smaller table on the screened porch provides an intimate spot for two.
Malie’s interiors are designed for comfort and ease. Enjoy soft cotton linens, memory foam mattresses, hardwood and tile floors, and ceiling fans in every room. The bathroom features a shower, tub, and plenty of towels, with an additional outdoor shower on the deck. A large interior closet includes a washer and dryer for guest use. The cottage is stocked with beach towels, umbrellas, coolers, guidebooks, and plenty of aloha. For entertainment, Malie offers fast Wi-Fi, ROKU streaming TV, and a Bluetooth speaker.
The property is alive with seasonal bounty. Guests are welcome to roam the farm and harvest from our lychee, avocado, banana, passionfruit, mango, starfruit, orange, and guava trees, as well as enjoy fresh flowers in season — a true taste of island life.
Malie is located on our private farm in the quiet town of Haʻikū on Maui’s North Shore. It sits next door to Lokahi cottage, making it a great option for families or groups traveling together while still maintaining private spaces. The property is a short drive from beaches, hikes, parks, restaurants, and shopping, and we recommend renting a car, as rideshares and public transportation are limited.
Haʻikū enjoys a comfortable year-round climate. While the cottage does not have a heater or air conditioning — rarely needed in this part of the island — ceiling fans and cross-ventilating windows keep the space airy. For cooler nights, extra blankets are provided so you can stay cozy while listening to the wind move through the trees.
